Blue M

Blue M originally worked as a songwriter and a manager for record labels – among others, he wrote Fig Tree Leaf and Horny Hog, the hits of prézli. But when markoo refused to sing in Fig Tree Leaf, his time had come to shine. He sang the song with prézli, so the whole world got to know his name, while the song spent several weeks as number one on Billboard Hot 100. We didn’t have to wait for his first own single because Awesome Topic was released in August of 2011. It became #3 in the US, which is an outstanding success for a debut single. After the success, the singer toured with world sensation prézli all over Europe in the fall of 2011. His second single, City of Robots was because of the tour delayed. – though we could hear it in the beginning of November, he released it only in January. The song, which features a rap by nestee, quickly became Blue M's first Billboard number 1. According to Rolling Stone, the song is the "pop revolution of 2012". His third single, Catwoman was released in the June of 2012, and the singer also released a Remix EP with 9 songs. The song topped the charts worldwide for weeks. The dance remix of the single, which is only featured on the Remix EP, was also released as a promotional single, but peaked only on #92 in the US. Blue M's debut album, Not That Shit came out on June 30th of 2012. The standard edition of the CD features 13 tracks, while the deluxe edition contains 17. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard Hot 100, and became certified platinum in more than 20 countries throughout the summer. His first own tour, Last One Standing Tour, which went on from September to December the same year, took place only in Europe and the Middle-East, however, it had 50 dates - and almost all of them were sold out. The singer's fourth single, Fucking Love was released in October but because of the little attention the song got, we re-released it in November and after a bit promotion, the song became top 10 in 10 countries including the number one position in the Netherlands. In February, we released his fifth single, We're All Sinners as the lead single of his second studio album. The song quickly became his biggest success ever with a Grammy performance, a Superbowl-appearance and much more promotion. The song was number 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks. In May, we released his second single of his second album, Heaven or Hell, which peaked at #2 in the US, and became #1 in 12 countries. Blue M recorded two different videos to the song, a "Hell" and a "Heaven" version. In July, he was featured in a special remix of Something Ate My Boyfriend in order to give promotion to the single. His second studio album, Đeath came out this August, with 18 brand new songs including the two hit singles, We're All Sinners and Heaven or Hell. It even topped the sales of Blue M's first studio album with 560.000 copies sold in the first week in the US. The third song released as a single off the album is Shoot Ya Down, which premiered on August 13th, and peaked at #3 on Billboard Hot 100. The official music video to the song debuted on September 1st on VEVO, and reached 10million views in the first 24 hours. Blue M's first world tour, Guided Tour in Afterlife kicked off in Panama City in October and after a Latin American leg, will head to Europe and North America next year. On the tour, the singer performs 22 songs on his revolutionary stage. On November 26th, the fourth Đeath-single, Burn in Flames was released. However, the single only came out in Europe, World of Wonder was released as the fourth US single on December 1st and the fourth international single one week later. The video for both songs were recorded in Chile, when Blue M was touring there. Both Burn in Flames and World of Wonder entered the charts: while the European single debuted on #29 in the UK, World of Wonder entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #45. Although the neither of the songs got much attention at first, after the video release on December 21st and a bit promotion in early 2014, Burn in Flames got #1 in the UK, Germany and 10 more European countries, while World of Wonder also reached the #1 position in the USA. With this double single release, Blue M became the first artist to have the #1 and the #2 position in the United Kingdom at the same time.
